Azerbaijan’s Digital Notary Platform

Mobil Notariat is Azerbaijan’s digital notary platform that allows users to access legal services online, including power of attorney creation, document verification, and authentication workflows.
The goal of this redesign was to transform the experience into a more modern, accessible, and user-friendly platform while maintaining the trust and credibility expected from a governmental legal service.
Role: UI/UX Designer
Timeline: 4 Weeks
Tools: Figma, Framer, Illustrator
Government platforms often prioritize functionality over usability. While Mobil Notariat successfully digitized legal operations, the user experience still contained several friction points:
Complex legal terminology
Dense interface structure
Weak visual hierarchy
Overwhelming navigation
Limited onboarding guidance
Cognitive overload during document workflows

Complex Navigation
Users struggled to quickly find the correct legal service due to crowded layouts, unclear hierarchy, and overwhelming information presented at once.
Legal Confusion
Heavy legal terminology and limited guidance created uncertainty for first-time users during sensitive document and verification processes.
Simplifying legal workflows
Reducing cognitive load
Improving accessibility
Creating a cleaner information hierarchy
Building stronger trust through UI
Optimizing the mobile experience
The redesigned experience transforms Mobil Notariat from a traditional government portal into a more modern digital service focused on usability and accessibility.
The new interface creates:
Faster onboarding
Easier service discovery
Reduced cognitive load
Improved mobile usability
Stronger user trust
The project demonstrates how thoughtful UX design can simplify even the most complex legal workflows while maintaining institutional credibility.
This project highlighted the importance of balancing usability with trust in government platforms.
Designing for legal services is not only about aesthetics. It is about reducing stress, improving clarity, and helping users feel confident during important processes.
The redesign focused on making legal interactions feel more human, intuitive, and accessible for everyone.
