
MilliÖN is a digital payment platform that brings a wide range of everyday services into one connected ecosystem. Through the website and mobile application, users can make payments for utilities, mobile operators, banking services, internet, government services, fines, insurance, education, e-commerce, and many other categories.
The platform needed to serve both registered and unregistered users while supporting a large and continuously growing catalogue of service providers.
My role was to transform this extensive payment ecosystem into a clear, accessible, and consistent digital experience across desktop and mobile devices.
Payment platforms contain a large amount of information, including service categories, providers, subscriber details, account numbers, payment amounts, commissions, confirmations, and transaction statuses.
The main challenge was to organise this complexity without making the experience feel technical or overwhelming. Users needed to locate the correct provider, enter their information, verify the payment details, and complete the transaction with confidence.
The product also had to support people with different levels of digital experience. Every step needed to feel familiar, predictable, and easy to understand, particularly when users were handling sensitive financial information.

Service Overload
With many categories and hundreds of individual service providers available, users could struggle to find the correct payment destination. Long lists and unclear grouping increased search time and created uncertainty before beginning a payment.
Payment Uncertainty
Users needed clear confirmation that they had entered the correct subscriber information, selected the right provider, and paid the intended amount. Weak feedback during a financial transaction could lead to hesitation, repeated actions, or abandoned payments.
Service Discovery
Services were organised into recognisable categories such as utilities, mobile operators, banking, government payments, internet, insurance, education, and entertainment.
Clear grouping and search functionality help users find the required provider without navigating through long, unstructured lists.
Simplified Payment Flow
The payment journey was divided into focused, sequential steps. Users select a service, enter the required information, review the payment details, choose a payment method, and receive confirmation.
This structure reduces cognitive load and makes every stage of the transaction easier to understand.
Provider Selection
Service providers are presented through recognisable names, logos, and clearly separated cards. This allows users to scan the interface visually and identify frequently used providers more quickly.
Clear Data Entry
Input fields were designed around the specific requirements of each provider, including mobile numbers, subscriber codes, customer IDs, contract numbers, and payment amounts.
Labels, formatting, validation, and contextual guidance help prevent errors before users continue to the next step.
Payment Review
A dedicated review stage allows users to confirm the selected provider, subscriber information, payment amount, and other transaction details before completing the payment.
This additional checkpoint increases confidence and reduces the risk of accidental transactions.
Transaction Feedback
Loading, success, failure, and validation states were designed as part of the complete payment experience rather than treated as secondary screens.
Clear system feedback shows users what is happening and explains what action they should take next.
Personal Account
Registered users can access a more personalised experience where payment activity and account-related information are organised within one central space.
This reduces the need to repeat actions and makes frequent payment tasks easier to manage.
Mobile Experience
The mobile application was designed around fast, one-handed interaction. Frequently used services, search, form controls, and primary actions remain easy to reach on smaller screens.
The experience prioritises short paths, readable information, and clear actions so users can complete payments wherever they are.
Responsive Website
The website adapts the same service structure and visual language to different screen sizes. Navigation, payment forms, service lists, and confirmation states remain consistent across desktop, tablet, and mobile web.
Visual Consistency
A reusable design system was created for service cards, form fields, buttons, category elements, status messages, transaction summaries, and navigation components.
This consistency helps the platform remain familiar even when users move between different types of payments.
Multilingual Accessibility
The interface supports Azerbaijani, English, and Russian, allowing users to complete important financial tasks in their preferred language.
Layouts and components were designed to remain stable when labels and supporting text changed in length.
The final design transforms a broad collection of payment services into one structured and approachable digital ecosystem.
Users can move from discovering a service to completing a payment through a clear and predictable journey. Recognisable categories, searchable providers, focused data-entry steps, transaction summaries, and visible system feedback make the process faster and more reassuring.
The website provides a comprehensive view of the MilliÖN service ecosystem, while the mobile application delivers a more compact experience for frequent and on-the-go payments.
The result is a scalable cross-platform product that makes everyday financial tasks feel simpler, safer, and more manageable.
Designing MilliÖN required looking beyond individual payment screens and understanding the complete relationship between users, service providers, financial information, and transaction states.
The most important lesson was that trust in a payment product is created through clarity. Users need to understand where they are, what information they are providing, how much they are paying, and whether the transaction has been completed successfully.
By combining consistent interaction patterns, strong information hierarchy, contextual validation, and clear feedback, I created an experience that supports a complex service ecosystem without transferring that complexity to the user.
